Job description

A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Process Transformation Business Intelligence Data Analyst to help support their business needs.


A successful Process Transformation BI Data Analyst is customer-focused and able to identify opportunities to use analytical tools to make data more easily available, increase savings, or automate repetitive or time-consuming tasks. Stakeholders will come from a wide variety of service lines with their own unique processes and systems. The Process Transformation BI Data Analyst will need to be a quick learner and willing to challenge current processes and promote continuous improvement.


Tools and languages an analyst will need to be able to use include SQL, Power BI, Databricks, KNIME, Power Automate, and Python.



Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business, IT, and analytics teams to identify, prioritize, and document opportunities for improved insights, data visibility, and operational efficiency
  • Lead and support transformational initiatives from requirements gathering through user acceptance testing
  • Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable insights that inform business decisions
  • Develop and deliver dashboards and reporting solutions for customer-facing and internal stakeholders
  • Train and support business users on self-service analytics tools and dashboards
  • Educate stakeholders on available data fields, definitions, and underlying logic
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and analytical reports summarizing findings, assumptions, and conclusions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to drive alignment and adoption


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for extracting and manipulating large datasets
  • Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of ETL best practices
  • Experience transforming and preparing data using Python, Power Query, KNIME, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience sourcing data using REST APIs and normalizing JSON datasets
  • Knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes
  • Experience with SAP Ariba, SAP MM, or SAP FI
  • Experience using statistical programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS for advanced analytics


Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • On-site in Warren, MI
