We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices
- Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and issue resolution
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout the procurement process
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Skill and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in technology procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, preferably with an emphasis on IT software/SaaS & AI category sourcing
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market dynamics, and supplier management
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools
- Strong organizational and project management skills
