We are seeking a Procurement Specialist on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in San Diego, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and management of global purchasing e-catalogs within Coupa and Amazon Business
  • Support and maintain up-to-date and accurate catalog content, including product information, pricing, and availability, while ensuring alignment with supplier agreements and purchasing standards
  • Ensures compliance with purchasing policies and regulations, promoting ethical and responsible spending practices
  • Audits Purchase Order (POs) purchases to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to company policies, and preventing unauthorized spending
  • Assists in resolving Procure to Pay (P2P) and help desk escalations, addressing issues swiftly and providing solutions to facilitate smooth business operations. Ensure successful fulfillment by overseeing end-to-end catalog transitions, including resolving escalations
  • Collaborates with partners to drive catalog adoption, helps with communicating changes to stakeholders to promote seamless transitions, and creates awareness for delightful employee experiences.
  • Troubleshoots technical catalog procurement issues by analyzing root causes, identifying solutions, and implementing corrective measures


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or another quantitative discipline
  • Experience in Procurement and Project Management
  • Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent documentation and requirements analysis capabilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional and international teams, including HR, IT, and Finance
  • Capable of working independently and leading team initiatives
  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgment in complex problem-solving and decision-making
  • Highly adaptable and resilient during organizational change; able to act as a change agent
  • Proven experience in business process analysis, improvement, and development of best practices is preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required
  • Extensive Coupa experience preferred
  • Extensive Amazon Business experience preferred
  • End-to-end knowledge of the Source-to-Pay process, Catalogs, and Amazon Business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to develop strong relationships with cross-functional groups and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and data tracking abilities to analyze spending, document modifications, and propose enhancements to processes.
  • Exhibits high levels of judgment, innovation, and creativity; effectively uses inquiry and advocacy to work through barriers
  • Ability to proactively work directly with business partners to ensure compliance and troubleshoot issues with minimal guidance from the manager
