We are seeking a Procurement Specialist on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in San Diego, CA.


This position will be responsible for driving technology-related sourcing activities across multiple spend categories in an individual contributor role. Areas of sourcing responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following: workforce collaboration software, security software, marketing software, infrastructure software, etc. This role will serve as the contact point responsible for building and managing contractual relationships with key suppliers and internal business owners. This role will support lower dollar and lower risk software purchases, including vendor security screenings, contract review & negotiation, RFI/RFPs, as well as price benchmarking and cost analysis.



Responsibilities:

  • Drive technology-related sourcing activities across multiple spend categories, including collaboration software, security software, marketing software, and infrastructure software
  • Manage lower-dollar and lower-risk software purchases, including vendor security screenings
  • Lead contract review, negotiation, and administration for technology vendors
  • Conduct RFIs and RFPs and manage end-to-end sourcing processes
  • Perform price benchmarking, cost analysis, and basic financial evaluations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier relationships and internal business stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong contractual relationships with global technology vendors
  • Partner with internal business owners to align sourcing strategies with business needs
  • Manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced, stakeholder-heavy environment
  • Ensure clear documentation, requirements analysis, and compliance throughout the sourcing lifecycle


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in technology sourcing and technology contracting
  • Proven experience conducting RFIs/RFPs and negotiating with IT and software vendors
  • Strong familiarity with negotiating software license agreements and related legal terms
  • Experience with ERP and source-to-pay systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting quantitative and qualitative information
  • Ability to work independently with high ownership and accountability
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environments
  • Strong documentation and requirements analysis skills


Preferred:

  • Experience negotiating with global technology vendors
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Understanding of procurement and source-to-pay tools
