Job description

Founded in 2008, our client is a leading American broadcasting corporation headquartered in New York City and provides satellite radio and online radio services operating in the United States.


We are seeking a Producer on a contract basis to support a leading conservative talk program on the channel. This position is ideal for a driven and politically savvy professional with a strong background in live broadcast production and a clear understanding of the brand’s values and voice. This role is hybrid in NYC (Tues - Thurs) can vary



Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the host and senior programming staff to develop engaging, relevant topics that resonate with the audience.
  • Research breaking news, political stories, and current events to support show content and conversation.
  • Contribute to daily show rundowns, segment outlines, and editorial calendars.
  • Operate technical equipment in-studio during live broadcasts, ensuring a seamless and professional on-air experience.
  • Screen incoming listener calls to identify engaging, relevant contributions for live on-air use
  • Post live updates and promotional content to the show’s official social media accounts.
  • Identify and edit standout audio clips from the program for use in social media and on-air replays.
  • Monitor and adapt to the rapidly shifting news cycle to keep the show content timely and impactful.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years experience in live radio production (not podcast production).
  • Phone Screening: Manage live call screening using radio software.
  • Vet and prioritize incoming listener calls.
  • Coordinate call flow for guests, including high-profile political figures (e.g. U.S. Senators, Cabinet members).
  • Stay informed on breaking news, political developments, and relevant global events.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous experience in live radio or broadcast production strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of political news, conservative media, and current events.
  • Familiarity with the tone and mission of the channel.
  • Experience working with talent, public figures, and high-profile guests.
  • Exceptional multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Strong production skills with hands-on experience using broadcast audio equipment.
  • Proficiency with Zetta automation, Adobe Audition, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to edit and package live radio content quickly and efficiently.
  • Skilled in phone screening and managing live caller interactions to support engaging broadcast segments.
