We are seeking an Apparel Designer on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Support apparel design category work across sportswear categories.
- Assist with seasonal sketches, mood boards, and color CADs.
- Maintain organized digital design files.
- Manage samples and track sample-related updates.
- Prepare meeting materials for design reviews and cross-functional discussions.
- Accurately update PLM systems while meeting timeline requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development.
- Proactively identify and resolve design-related issues.
- Support shifting priorities across multiple apparel categories.
- Uphold brand values and design standards throughout the product development process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Related degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of experience in apparel or product design.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage personal workflow.
- Ability to ask clarifying questions and proactively seek information.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and projects.
- Ability to meet deadlines within a product development calendar.
- Ability to create, express, and apply a design point of view to guide product direction.
- Ability to gather and apply market trends to inform design direction.
- Strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in apparel design, particularly in sportswear.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Figma / FigJam.
- Experience working with PLM systems.
