Job description

Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.


We are seeking a Product Developer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in NYC.



Responsibilities:

  • Support the product development team and serve as a liaison with cross-functional partners
  • Enter, compile, and analyze product costs for all styles
  • Identify and communicate cost discrepancies
  • Support sampling processes by tracking concept samples from development through delivery
  • Coordinate with mills and vendors to ensure on-time sample delivery
  • Manage time and action calendars to ensure development milestones and deadlines are met
  • Support product development systems and related processes
  • Communicate daily with overseas sourcing teams
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Design, Merchandising, Planning, and other cross-functional teams


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting product development processes
  • Experience tracking product costs and identifying discrepancies
  • Experience coordinating sample development and vendor communications
  • Experience managing project timelines and calendars
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams
