Job description

Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.


We are seeking a Product Developer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Support product development execution and serve as a liaison with Design teams.
  • Enter, compile, and analyze costing information for product styles.
  • Identify and highlight cost discrepancies and support cost tracking accuracy.
  • Support sampling and prototype processes by tracking sample status and timelines.
  • Coordinate with mills and vendors to ensure timely sample and prototype delivery.
  • Initiate and maintain Time and Action calendars for key programs.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors and cross-functional partners to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate product development data and tracking documentation.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with Design, Pre-Production, and Production teams.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting product development, sourcing, or production processes.
  • Experience tracking samples, prototypes, and production timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience compiling and reviewing costing data.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience working with vendors, mills, and production partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced product development environments.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, tracking systems, and product development tools preferred.
