Job description
Our Customer is a Silicon Valley- based company that is engaged in researching emerging technologies.
We are seeking a contract Senior Product Manager – Data & Analytics to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Mountain View, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Define and align on the North Star and supporting metrics for multiple product areas, including growth, engagement, retention, and monetization
- Partner with product teams to establish analytics requirements during product development, ensuring accurate, consistent, and scalable instrumentation and event logging
- Collaborate with Data Analyst and Data Science teams to design and prioritize dashboards for executives and cross-functional stakeholders
- Build and maintain a cross-product measurement framework to ensure comparability and clarity of metrics across applications
- Partner with Engineering to ensure data quality, event tracking, and instrumentation meet business needs
- Translate data into insights, highlight trade-offs, and guide strategic decisions for senior leadership
- Drive a culture of data-informed decision-making across product teams
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, statistics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, data analytics, or business intelligence at scale
- Demonstrated experience in defining and operationalizing key product metrics
- Strong understanding of data instrumentation, event tracking, and experimentation frameworks
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with analytics, engineering, and executive teams to deliver business-impacting insights
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data concepts for executive stakeholders
