Job description
Our Customer is a Silicon Valley- based company that is engaged in researching emerging technologies.
We are seeking a contract Product Manager to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Mountain View, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Create novel and innovative product strategy and concepts that contribute to a robust product development pipeline
- Collaborate with research, engineering, clinical, data science, and cross-functional teams with a clear product vision to ensure delivery of products per milestones
- Identify, select, and engage with industry partners (payers, healthcare providers, academic institutions, technology companies) to advance health-focused research and product development efforts
- Collaborate with the design team to translate complex problems into simple, elegant, and minimal solutions
- Lead the design thinking process—from problem definition to design implementation
- Drive product strategy, including product vision, roadmap, analytics, and success metrics, while aligning with internal business and strategy teams
- Oversee product development, working closely with program managers and development leads across research, design, development, validation, and deployment
- Own product requirement documents (PRD), user guides, and performance reporting; serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders across engineering, design, operations, legal, and executive teams
- Lead product management functions, including market opportunity identification, product definition, business case development, competitive positioning, and KPI monitoring
- Work closely with designers and researchers to derive consumer insights, create prototypes, and validate new product opportunities
- Apply healthcare domain knowledge, including reimbursement and health data privacy standards (HIPAA and state-specific regulations)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent education, training, and experience)
- 12+ years of product management experience, with at least 5+ years in the healthcare industry (consumer and/or enterprise focus)
- 3+ years of UI/UX design experience, including designing and shipping products to market
- 1+ years of experience managing co-innovation and joint development between the technology and healthcare industries
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Expertise in designing, developing, and validating digital health products
- Background in studies involving wearable devices or clinical trials with human subjects
- Experience collaborating on software implementations of algorithms and medical device software with client and cloud engineers
- Strong understanding of care plans and service revenue drivers in healthcare products
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while managing multiple responsibilities
- User-centered and iterative approach to designing software solutions
- Business agility and proven ability to influence product adoption
