Job description

Our Customer is the world's leading music company that owns and operates a broad array of businesses engaged in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. They identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.


We are seeking a Product Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in NYC.



Responsibilities:

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing, Production, Design, Legal, Merchandising, Retail Wholesale, and Vendor teams to address regulatory and compliance issues across product categories.
  • Monitor repetitive testing failures, inspection failures, and vendor performance issues and provide data insights for review.
  • Maintain awareness of wholesale account requirements and compliance expectations.
  • Serve as a consultant and subject matter resource for internal cross-functional teams.
  • Create quarterly reports for sourcing teams, vendors, and agents to support vendor assessment processes.
  • Organize and maintain Product Integrity and Quality Assurance records, documentation, and department information.
  • Support additional program management and operational tasks as assigned.
  • Oversee product testing programs related to product safety, physical properties, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained across all product categories.
  • Onboard and educate new vendors on quality assurance, product integrity, and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Communicate and implement updated compliance policies and procedures with vendor partners.
  • Support vendors with inspections, testing, and product compliance questions.
  • Ensure product testing is conducted according to care codes, restricted substance lists (RSL), quality standards, and performance expectations.
  • Identify product quality issues and proactively recommend corrective actions and solutions for failed testing results.
  • Hold third-party laboratories accountable for testing procedures, turnaround times, reporting standards, and compliance protocols.
  • Stay informed on evolving state, federal, and global regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of products, materials, trims, fiber content, care instructions, testing requirements, and related compliance standards.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Product Integrity, Quality Assurance, or related compliance experience.
  • Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, including CPSC, CPSIA, FTC, CPSA, California Proposition 65, and REACH.
  • Experience supporting consumer product testing and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to identify strengths, weaknesses, and solutions related to compliance and quality issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional environments.
  • Professional and positive approach when working with internal and external business partners.
  • Interest in product testing, fabric trends, sustainability, and social compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with product testing laboratories.
