Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Marketing Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This position plays a critical role in launching and driving the adoption of new commerce and credit-related features. This position connects customer insights to product strategy, crafts compelling narratives for feature launches, and leads go-to-market execution to expand network engagement and customer access.
Sitting at the intersection of Product, Brand, and Growth Marketing, this role ensures cohesive messaging and seamless customer experiences across all touchpoints while driving measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
Product Positioning & Messaging
- Develop clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging that resonates with customers.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into simple, customer-focused stories and value propositions.
- Collaborate with Brand and Creative teams to ensure consistent storytelling across marketing and product surfaces.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution
- Support go-to-market planning for new product launches, including messaging, channel strategy, and success metrics.
- Partner with Product Managers to define target segments, launch goals, and adoption KPIs.
- Collaborate with Channel Marketing teams (Lifecycle, CRM, Paid, Social, etc.) to execute coordinated launch campaigns.
- Track and report campaign results, synthesizing learnings to refine future GTM strategies.
Customer Insights & Strategy
- Work closely with Research and Data Science to uncover customer needs and growth opportunities.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform positioning, messaging, and marketing strategy.
- Advocate for customer perspectives within product planning and prioritization discussions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the link between Product, Brand, and Growth teams to ensure aligned communication and execution.
- Coordinate across teams to synchronize marketing priorities with product timelines.
- Partner with Lifecycle and Growth teams to develop ongoing engagement programs post-launch.
Measurement & Optimization
- Define and monitor KPIs tied to product adoption, engagement, and ROI.
- Collaborate with Analytics and Finance to measure performance and optimize strategy.
- Continuously iterate on messaging and campaign tactics based on insights.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in product marketing, integrated marketing, or go-to-market strategy, ideally within consumer tech, fintech, or e-commerce.
- Proven experience leading cross-channel product launches.
- Strong ability to translate technical product features into clear customer benefits.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting both qualitative and quantitative insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and creative teams.
- Experience partnering closely with Product, Design, and Analytics.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering impactful product experiences.
