We are seeking a Product Marketing Specialist on a contract basis with strong strategic and storytelling skills and a bias for action to drive customer value and business results. This role sits within the money team and is responsible for developing and owning key go-to-market workstreams within a lending-focused product portfolio.
The ideal candidate brings experience launching new products to market, with a strong emphasis on B2B and financial products. Success in this role requires the ability to think boldly, move quickly, and deliver meaningful impact on customer outcomes, business growth, and overall brand trajectory.
This position is responsible for leading critical workstreams that support the development and scaling of a newly integrated product within the lending portfolio, partnering cross-functionally to ensure successful execution and adoption.
This role is hybrid in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage customer insights, product expertise, and competitive intelligence to inform segmentation strategy and develop differentiated product positioning and messaging
- Develop and execute research and testing plans to analyze data from multiple sources and generate actionable insights
- Translate insights into compelling business cases and end-to-end customer experiences
- Lead storytelling-driven initiatives and execute go-to-market plans focused on measurable business outcomes
- Develop go-to-market strategies, segmentation, and marketing activations in partnership with channel, ecosystem, external partners, and business development teams
- Drive year-over-year growth initiatives for a lending marketplace
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, design, business development, analytics, finance, credit, risk, legal, strategy, sales, and customer success
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience in product marketing with strong cross-functional execution
- Strong understanding of marketing frameworks for segmentation, targeting, and positioning
- Ability to translate strategy into product roadmaps and actionable go-to-market plans
- Highly analytical and problem-solving mindset with experience using testing methodologies and synthesizing multiple data sources
- Ability to analyze ROI, develop insights, and make recommendations that unlock growth opportunities
- Strong strategic prioritization skills with the ability to focus on the highest-impact initiatives
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and accountability for driving measurable results
- Ability to influence stakeholders in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the fintech or credit card industries
- Experience supporting small and mid-sized business segments
