Our Customer is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable contract Product Policy Coordinator to join its Product Policy & Strategy team as a Product Policy Coordinator and multimodal red-teamer to provide policy support for Generative AI products. In this role, you will work to ensure that their AI models and products are unbiased and can understand and respond to different viewpoints on contentious issues. You’ll accomplish this goal by directly engaging in adversarial testing of Large Language Models, including multimodal models, and by tracking the development of emerging risks and questions around political processes, breaking news, and other significant global events. You will also be analyzing competitor’s model behaviors and policies, and advising on forward-looking, policy-aligned product development. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute red-teaming evaluations across text and multimodal AI systems to identify political and ideological bias and assess gaps in mitigations, with a focus on the United States and other high-priority markets
- Prioritize high-risk areas in collaboration with cross-functional partners, focusing efforts around elections, breaking news cycles, and other politically sensitive global events
- Pivot between structured, ongoing red-teaming programs and rapid-response evaluations during emerging events
- Assess and synthesize findings to identify systemic issues and inform model development, safety mitigations, and policy guidance
- Communicate red-teaming insights clearly and effectively to cross-functional stakeholders in Policy, Product, Trust and Research teams
- Support product development by advising on launch readiness and contributing to risk assessments tied to generative model behavior
- Monitor and analyze the evolving political and policy landscape—domestically and globally
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience working on technology and public policy/governance issues
- Understanding of the political and policy environment in the United States
- Interest in Generative AI products/technology
- Experience working independently to apply analytical thinking to solving ambiguous, complex problems
- Excellent written communication skills
Preferred:
- Working proficiency in additional languages, such as Spanish, Hindi, or Arabic
- Experience redteaming/adversarially testing technology products
