Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.


We are seeking a Program Manager on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage progress against the security transformation framework and maturity model to drive program success
  • Track and coordinate activities, deliverables, metrics, and reporting across the security program
  • Collaborate with a broad group of stakeholders to capture requirements, communicate changes, and report program status
  • Maintain detailed requirements tracking aligned to the security architecture and maturity milestones
  • Develop and monitor program success metrics and performance indicators
  • Partner with pillar leads to update roadmaps, dependencies, and execution plans
  • Apply technical knowledge and industry insights to continuously enhance program effectiveness
  • Support additional cybersecurity initiatives, such as authentication modernization and directory consolidation efforts
  • Execute special projects and additional program work as assigned by program leadership


Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science / other technical degree or Business Management, and 4 years of experience, or in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 7 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of program management experience
  • 3+ years working with IT and/or security teams
  • Proven experience leading large cross-functional technology programs and initiatives
  • Knowledge of security maturity frameworks or similar enterprise transformation models
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries preferred

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of program management experience supporting technology or security programs
  • 5+ years of experience within information security domains such as identity, device, network, cloud, or data security
  • Experience implementing large-scale security transformation programs in enterprise environments
  • Broad technical familiarity across IAM, infrastructure, endpoint security, security operations, and governance/risk/compliance
  • Experience in the financial services sector preferred
  • Relevant certifications, such as PgMP, PMP, CISSP, CISM, or CISA, are preferred
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills
