Job description
Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.
We are seeking a Program Manager on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote, East Coast preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for interrelated business, IT, and external projects to deliver loyalty capabilities
- Define project scope and objectives, and develop detailed business requirements in partnership with the Product Manager
- Act as Product Owner within an Agile framework, providing direction to IT teams based on business needs
- Define user stories and prioritize feature backlogs to maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of loyalty platforms
- Develop detailed project plans, including milestones, timelines, and progress tracking
- Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure cohesive and successful project launches
- Lead teams through education, requirements gathering, design, build, validation, and migration phases for loyalty platforms
- Deliver loyalty initiatives within schedule, budget, and feature constraints
- Analyze and evaluate client-initiated changes to loyalty systems and prioritize enhancements with Product Management
- Coordinate work across multiple business functions to deliver integrated loyalty solutions
- Establish and manage continuous risk management strategies across the project lifecycle
- Monitor resources, schedules, and feature delivery, comparing planned versus actual performance and implementing corrective actions
- Collect, review, and publish project status updates related to resources, timelines, stakeholders, and solution quality
- Conduct project obstacle analysis and recommend solutions in accordance with project methodology and governance
- Support the development of product roadmaps for core loyalty releases
- Analyze complex loyalty challenges and lead cross-functional teams to resolution
- Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, or high school diploma with 8+ years of experience in business, product, project management, or business operations
- Minimum of 6 years of experience owning business or IT project plans, developing business requirements, and delivering project status communications
Preferred:
- Strong experience in developing business and functional requirements
- Ability to quickly understand loyalty technology systems and processes
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Experience managing deliverables from external suppliers
- Proficiency with JIRA and Agile project management methodologies
- Understanding of IT architecture, infrastructure, and system dependencies
- Strong business and consumer-focused mindset
- PMP or Agile certification
