Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Program Manager on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Milwaukee, WI.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead programs with minimal guidance, ensuring alignment to defined objectives, deliverables, and resource plans.
  • Define program goals and create comprehensive plans to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive clarity around program objectives, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business and technology partners, facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Manage internal and external resources, removing obstacles to maintain program momentum.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies between teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collect and deliver required program metrics to drive visibility, insights, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage data, tools, and techniques to ensure smooth end-to-end program delivery.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry trends and organizational initiatives to inform program strategy.
  • Understand and align program deliverables with key business drivers and departmental needs.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project analysis, design, documentation, and project or support management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven team player with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of initiative, motivation, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • PMI certification or relevant project management training preferred.
  • Familiarity with project methodologies and experience managing programs through full lifecycle phases.
