We are seeking a Program Manager, Product Engineering Operations, on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.


As a Program Manager within the Product Engineering Operations Team, you will drive project management across multiple operational initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects, process improvements, and stakeholder alignment. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.



Responsibilities:


  • Project Planning: Oversee project scope, including requirements intake, documentation, tracking, and prioritization. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules. Coordinate enhancements and improvements with stakeholders to align with release cycles.
  • Team & Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate regular team meetings to surface risks and opportunities. Drive action items to ensure timely delivery against milestones. Actively manage communication channels, address inquiries, and handle permission requests. Gather feedback through surveys and implement improvements.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management: Establish and maintain internal documentation and training resources to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Collect, analyze, and report on key operational metrics. Monitor dashboards to identify outliers and support mitigation efforts.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and requirements. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and resources. Coordinate and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Estimate, track, and manage project budgets and resource allocation.
  • Project Delivery & Closure: Ensure successful project completion, secure stakeholder sign-off, and document lessons learned.


Skills and Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, working collaboratively with engineering and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing complex projects, including the development of tools and processes, with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and vendors.
  • Experience with communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with problem-solving and providing business insights and recommendations from data sets.
  • Experience with project management tools, e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, gSheets/ Excel, and Tableau.
  • Experience with thinking analytically and executing methodically while adapting to changing priorities.


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of consumer hardware development lifecycles.
  • Experience with change management, training, and documentation best practices.
  • Experience with metrics reporting and dashboard management.
  • Lean Six Sigma Training, PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certification.
