Job description
The Mom Project is excited to support their partner, an American automotive company, with their search for a Project Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis!
This role will act as a consultant to the dealers by working together with them on the development and implementation of their business plans. You will be working directly with the dealers and will be involved in a variety of activities, including implementation and development of marketing initiatives, customer retention, product displays, financial analysis, market analysis, and training.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitating, coaching, and consulting with dealers to ensure monthly/yearly sales objectives are met, as well as accomplishing other dealership goals
- Manage dealer compliance with the programs and administer policies and procedures
- Assist in implementing dealer-level digital marketing and advertising campaigns
- Work to improve retail website performance and increase lead-generating activities
- Analyze dealer sales, local market conditions (sales, registration data, dealer effectiveness, lost sales), and competition to identify specific sales opportunities
- Conduct sales and training activities, including remote customer meetings, monthly
- Have knowledge of all company products, services, customer demographics or profiles, and competitive automotive makes and models
- Assist in dealer and customer problem resolution
- Coach dealer on customer retention, satisfaction, and dealership loyalty
This role operates largely independently. Our customer needs someone who can remain motivated without a large group around them. It’s critical that they can overcome objections during the selling process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong business relationships.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; the manager is open to considering equivalent experience if the candidate does not have a degree
- Ability to sell over the phone
- Ability to present frequently to dealers or dealer groups
- Entry-level experience ok
- The ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining effectiveness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills that involve understanding the audience, getting the message across, presenting information effectively, and communicating openly
- Excellent time management skills – the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to influence business partners
- Wide latitude for independent actions, including significant independent judgment
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Computer skills to develop, maintain, and analyze data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Dealership/automotive experience preferred
- 2+ years in sales and customer service preferred
- The manager is looking for someone who is mobile and open to possibly moving if hired directly
Hours and Location:
- Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
- Monday-Thursday in-office, and Friday remote
