We are seeking a Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of various projects including; assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project(s).
- Must be familiar with the project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
- Communicates with project leaders and/or sponsors and function and functional area Managers regarding status of specific projects.
- Project Manager supporting the Enterprise Content & Training (ECT) organization.
- Responsible for conducting project and contract audits, performing forensic analysis of existing projects, and identifying discrepancies in systems and processes.
- Review contract status using internal systems, including SharePoint and Oracle-based contract tracking tools (PDH).
- Investigate active, inactive, and cancelled contracts and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions, including cancellation notifications when necessary.
- Develop, improve, and maintain project tracking processes and reporting structures.
- Drive organization, documentation, and process consistency across multiple ongoing initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with teams including royalties, operations, content, and other business stakeholders.
- Support project visibility, status tracking, and process governance across the organization
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years as a Project Manager/project management experience, ideally within Publishing, or Tech (more years of experience preferred)
- PMP Certification not required, but a plus.
- Degree not required, but a plus (years of experience more important)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, this is the most key.
- Transparent communicator who proactively raises questions and risks.
- Demonstrated ability to bring structure to unclear or disorganized environments.
- Proven success managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Performance: highly organized, transparent. If they don’t know something, tell the manager. If they are collaborative, will work with the team and get to know their systems and can work with them to get do all that. Organization is so key.
- Team values initiative, transparency, organization, and strong communication.
- Strong experience creating and maintaining project tracking processes.
- Advanced organizational and prioritization skills.
- Experience working with SharePoint.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools.
- Ability to perform detailed analysis and identify process, data, or project discrepancies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity.
