We are seeking a Salesforce Transition Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Austin, TX.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, transitioning tools to Salesforce, and leading change management initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the migration of the existing systems to Salesforce, ensuring a seamless transition, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing the Salesforce environment to meet business needs. The candidate should also ensure that there is minimal disruption to business operations and enable long-term scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the end-to-end Salesforce migration project, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
- Data Migration: Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from legacy systems to Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Salesforce to align with business processes and requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including (Engineering, Business Transformation Teams, Leadership) to gather requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate data migration and system functionality.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users (stakeholders) to facilitate a smooth transition and adoption of Salesforce.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of migration processes, configurations, and customizations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within the Salesforce environment.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on the migration outcome.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in technology or platform migration projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Salesforce migration projects, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and data management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce tools and technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Initiative and Proactivity: Demonstrating a proactive approach to managing tasks and projects, taking ownership, and driving results with minimal supervision.
- Time Management: Meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and address issues independently, including seeking assistance when needed and communicating effectively with team members.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.
- Certifications: Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Data Architect, are a plus.
