Job description
Our Customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
We are seeking a Project Manager on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.
This person keeps shoots running on schedule, makes sure the right products are photographed at the right time, and connects teams so nothing falls through the cracks. They are comfortable managing a high volume of moving parts, solving problems quickly, and communicating clearly across teams with different priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end product photography production pipeline from sample intake through final image delivery
- Plan and schedule photo shoots in collaboration with Production and Creative teams
- Prioritize product photography based on business and merchandising needs
- Coordinate product, talent, and studio resources to support scheduled photo shoots
- Manage reshoots and image correction requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues
- Maintain and update photography guidelines and production documentation
- Monitor production schedules, communicate project status, and proactively resolve workflow bottlenecks
- Serve as the primary liaison between the photography team and cross-functional partners, including Merchandising, Marketing, Digital, and Post Production
- Ensure completed image assets meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule
- Coordinate the distribution and publication of product images across internal teams and digital platforms
- Maintain production reports, tracking tools, and project management systems
- Oversee the workflow for publishing product images to eCommerce platforms
- Identify process improvement opportunities to optimize production efficiency
- Support seasonal planning and prepare the team for high-volume production periods
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in photo production, project coordination, or eCommerce operations
- Experience managing studio photography or on-figure photography workflows
- Familiarity with product photography, studio production, or eCommerce content operations
- Experience collaborating with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, and Operations teams
- Experience using project management and digital asset management (DAM) or asset tracking systems
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Excellent attention to detail in high-volume production environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive problem-solving skills with strong ownership and follow-through
- Experience tracking production schedules, workflows, and project status
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
