Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a IT Project Manager – PMP on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA/Bay Area.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate recurring project team meetings, including coordination, action item tracking, documenting minutes, and communicating follow-through actions.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks while ensuring delivery of project commitments on time and within scope.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage large information security initiatives, anticipating risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Develop integrated dashboards using data from Smartsheet, Anaplan, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Produce polished and insightful reports for executive audiences using internal reporting tools.
  • Manage and influence cross-functional global teams in support of complex technology initiatives.
  • Support the deployment and optimization of IT project management tools to improve PMO maturity and discipline.
  • Contribute to strategy discussions, roadmap development, process improvements, and enhancement of PMO delivery standards.
  • Ensure projects follow established planning and delivery frameworks with strong emphasis on data integrity, scheduling, risk management, and cross-team alignment.
  • Maintain oversight of project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful initiative delivery.


Qualifications

  • Active PMP certification (required).
  • CISSP certification (highly preferred).
  • 8-10 years of IT Project Management or PMO experience in waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Proven experience driving project planning sessions and using various frameworks to prioritize work based on ROI and business value.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Office 365, Zoom, Smartsheet, Anaplan, and Tableau.
  • Strong experience with project management tools and dashboards.
  • Ability to clearly articulate business value for initiatives to leadership teams.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices to ensure successful project planning and delivery.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale, global projects and releases.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define, build, and present dashboards for senior leadership, integrating data from multiple systems.
  • Self-starter with strong decision-making abilities to drive projects to completion.
  • Proven track record of achieving results through collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments.
