We are seeking a Proposal Copy Editor on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.


This role will support the Request for Proposal (RFP) team on a long-term temporary basis. This role provides expert editorial review and copyediting to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to established company standards across proposal documents.


Responsibilities include ensuring all proposal materials and deliverables strictly align with corporate branding guidelines to maintain consistency and professionalism. The editor will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, proposal managers, and sales teams to deliver polished, client-ready RFP responses.



Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive editorial peer review of proposal documents, ensuring accuracy in grammar, syntax, punctuation, clarity, and brand consistency
  • Edit and refine content developed by subject matter experts to produce professional, client-ready deliverables
  • Collaborate with Proposal Managers and Sales teams to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards
  • Review and enhance existing proposal materials to improve response effectiveness and clarity
  • Serve as content editor for proposal graphics and supporting deliverables
  • Track and report editorial progress, risks, and challenges to support workflow management
  • Ensure all materials comply with corporate branding standards, including style, tone, and visual guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information


Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills with experience reviewing large, complex documents
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and enforce corporate branding guidelines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools
  • Familiarity with proposal development processes and RFP response requirements
  • Experience supporting proposal, sales, or editorial teams in deadline-driven environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
