Our client is seeking multiple Public Policy Managers on a contract basis to help support their business needs.
Location: Candidates should be based in or near Washington, D.C.; Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; or Florida. Frequent domestic travel is required.
As a Public Policy Manager, you will work with internal and external collaborators to design, create, develop and execute on various experiences and events that demonstrate the value of AI, wearables, virtual reality, and other cutting-edge technologies to a policy audience. You will also develop policy partnerships with various innovation stakeholders, like AI developers, and design initiatives to build community and outreach capability. You will do this in close collaboration with various XFN colleagues internally, including other policy, product, marketing, partnerships and legal teams. The role requires knowledge and experience with AI solutions, and the various policy considerations associated with new technologies. In this role, you will also manage strategic outreach and policy campaigns to advance the values and interests of the company. You will advocate for our client on the value of AI innovation, and the positive economic and social impact it is having in the world today and into the future.
You’ll be right in the thick of the most advanced technological advancements, helping to evangelize the future of AI innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead demos giving policy audiences hands-on experiences with AI solutions, wearables, VR, and other cutting-edge technologies.
- Develop, create, and execute on various innovation policy experiences and events to educate and inform policy stakeholders.
- Develop strategic outreach programs and policy campaigns to advocate for the economic and social value of AI innovation.
- Support engagement with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion formers, non-profit groups and others to contribute to the public discussion on the economic and social value of innovative technologies, like AI.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, Communications, and Partnerships teams, as well as global policy teams to build and drive programs and campaigns that demonstrate the value of AI innovation.
- Build coalitions with other organizations to advance our company’s policy goals
- Develop and project manage innovative policy programs and campaigns, including for new AI products
- Independently manage smaller advocacy campaigns or collaborate on the management of larger campaigns, serving as a primary client lead in some cases
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders to champion AI innovation.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, political science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in policy, legal, with a focus on AI technology or other related technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in any of the following areas: AI technologies, wearables, VR, programs and campaigns, security, privacy, integrity, competition, and the surrounding policy environments
- Knowledge and experience on AI, open-source innovation, wearables, and VR
- Policy stakeholder engagement experience
- Policy Programs and Campaigns experience
