We are seeking a Public Policy Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Washington, D.C.


The Public Policy Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining leadership continuity, stakeholder engagement, and seamless execution of innovation-focused programs during this period. The position supports cross-functional collaboration, advocacy initiatives, and strategic partnerships that advance economic opportunity and pro-innovation policy.



Responsibilities:


Lead and Support Pro-Innovation Policy & Programs

  • Serve as the cross-functional liaison for External Affairs, ensuring alignment and continuity across teams.
  • Monitor and support initiatives related to emerging technology policy, such as AI legislation and youth-focused education programs.
  • Oversee planning and execution of innovation summits and related events, managing relationships with external partners.
  • Track data center and infrastructure initiatives connected to economic opportunity.

Engage and Empower Stakeholders

  • Act as the primary contact for a broad range of external partners, including:
    • National and regional business associations
    • Innovation and entrepreneurship advocacy groups
    • Minority- and women-owned business organizations
    • Workforce development and public-private partnership coalitions
  • Build and sustain strong, mission-aligned relationships that advance shared goals.

Advance Advocacy & Program Impact

  • Support advocacy campaigns and program delivery in collaboration with the Economic Opportunity & Advocacy team.
  • Provide strategic insights and timely updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication and progress tracking across initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mission-Driven Mindset: Commitment to advancing economic empowerment, innovation, and inclusive growth.
  • Experience: 6+ years of background in public policy, advocacy, campaigns, or external affairs.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver complex initiatives.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated success working cross-functionally and fostering strategic partnerships.
