Job description

We are seeking a Public Policy Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Washington, DC.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring deadlines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Engage with policy stakeholders and support policy programs and campaigns related to AI, open-source innovation, wearables, VR, and other emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on programs and initiatives related to security, privacy, integrity, safety, content moderation, competition, and sustainability.
  • Apply knowledge of AI technologies, open-source systems, and emerging tech to support organizational strategy.
  • Support external engagement efforts, including representing the organization in policy discussions and with industry stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in policy, law, technology, or a related field.
  • 2 - 4+ years of professional experience in policy, legal, or technology-related roles.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to be responsive and adapt in fast-paced environments.
  • Hands-on experience with technology and understanding of policy environments.


Preferred:

  • Understanding of open-source AI and its value.
  • Knowledge and experience with AI, wearables, VR, and related technologies.
  • Experience in policy stakeholder engagement and program/campaign execution.
  • Experience in areas such as security, privacy, integrity, safety, content moderation, competition, and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for engaging with policymakers, industry experts, and cross-functional teams.
