Job description
PR Manager (Part-Time)
We are seeking a part-time PR Manager to support the development and execution of communications and media strategies across our client portfolio. This role is ideal for an early- to mid-career PR professional who is highly organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.
The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, a foundational understanding of media relations, and the confidence to manage day-to-day PR activities while contributing strategically to client goals.
Hours & Schedule
- 15–20 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling with the ability to manage hours independently
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of marketing communications strategies aligned with client objectives
- Pitch and secure media placements across print, broadcast, and digital outlets
- Build and maintain relationships with local and regional media contacts; assist with national outreach as appropriate
- Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and client talking points
- Monitor media coverage and assist with reporting on PR results
- Stay informed on industry trends and proactively identify timely media opportunities
- Collaborate with internal team members and freelance support as needed
Qualifications / Skills
- 1–3 years of professional experience in public relations, communications, or a related field
- Demonstrated success securing media coverage at the local or regional level
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience with social media platforms and digital content
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
