Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.


We are seeking a Publishing Operations Associate on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid in Burbank, CA.


The Publishing Operations Associate will help maintain an assigned product's metadata through the creation and maintenance of current and historic records in various databases. Under the supervision of the Data Asset Manager, this position creates and updates product setup in addition to reporting program bugs when found.


Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Data Asset Manager to create series and items in Microsoft Business Central, clean and update historical records, test system enhancements, and report system bugs.
  • Updates product metadata based on incoming requests and existing business practices.
  • Updates corresponding metadata in external systems.
  • Reviews original materials’ covers for correct information on InSite.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.



Qualifications

Must Have Skills / Requirements

1) Previous work experience in Data Management or Data Upkeep

a. 3+ years; Ability and comfortability to maintain databases.

2) Comic Publishing knowledge

a. 3+ years; Familiarity with comic industry (comic publishing, retail). Will help with training and ramp up time.

3) Excel expertise.

a. 3+ years; This position will be given projects that will be leveraging Excel formulas and formatting to analyze data. Experience using Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc..


Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements

1) Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Operations, Data Management, or a related field is strongly preferred.


Soft Skills:

1) Must have the ability to organize, handle large amounts of detailed work, and pay close attention to details.

2) Must have the ability to work well under time constraints, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks and project elements simultaneously.

3) Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully (both verbally and in writing) with individuals at all levels of the organization.


Technology Requirements:

1) Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP system(s) is strongly preferred.
