We are seeking a Purchasing Administrator/Buyer on a contract basis to support the Supply Chain Management team with procurement and administrative tasks. This role is on-site in Chandler, AZ.
Responsibilities:
- Assist colleagues with following proper procurement practices and procedures
- Coordinate NDA, Compliance Reviews, and Supplier Onboarding processes with relevant end users and internal teams
- Request RFQs from qualified suppliers
- Review submitted, approved purchase requests for accuracy
- Place approved orders online, by phone, or by email
- Monitor open order report and follow up with suppliers for status updates, keeping the ERP system updated with accurate information
- Act as back-up coverage in the Shipping and Receiving area as required
- Additional administrative tasks as required by the Supply Chain Manager
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of professional experience in purchasing
- Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle or SAP
- Ability to multitask to meet deadlines and deliverables
- Self-starter who learns quickly, on the fly
- Process-oriented with strong attention to detail and organization
- Familiarity with broad supply chain management as a whole, i.e., logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory, import/export
- Experience in vendor contracts management/negotiation
- Efficient with Google Suite
- Knowledge of ERP Software (SAP a plus)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment
