We are seeking a Qualitative Researcher: Game Play Testing Mixed Method UXR on a contract basis to help support our Customers’ business needs.


What You’ll Do:


  • Mixed method UXR will interact with game development teams, turning their needs and goals into research plans – either playtest or survey.

  • For playtests, they will manage them wholly: from writing plans to working with recruiting for the right players to moderating to synthesizing and presenting the findings.

  • For surveys, they will also manage them from end to end: writing them, programming them in our costumer's internal tools or Qualtrics, pulling potential respondents in SQ (or purchasing them from a vendor)L, and analyzing the data in R or SPSS and writing the report.


Must Haves:


  • At least 5 years experience running qualitative user research studies and writing and analyzing survey data and turning both into actional insights.

  • Passion for video games and knowledge of various genres and their associated elements and mechanics.

  • Experience with survey writing and analysis preferred

  • Experience with analysis and data modeling in R or SPSS

  • Experience moderating user research sessions

  • Experience turning qual and quant data into actional insights


Nice to have:

  • Video game user research experience


Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Psychology or Sociology or related field


Hours & Location: 

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
