We are seeking a Receptionist on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Cincinnati, OH.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for employees using the fitness center
- Greet employees professionally and assist with inquiries related to fitness center policies, equipment, and amenities
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facility areas and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fitness center, including towels, supplies, and amenities
- Monitor facility capacity and enforce occupancy limits and proper equipment usage
- Provide basic equipment orientation and facility guidance to members
- Handle employee concerns and feedback with professionalism and discretion
- Maintain accurate locker assignments and usage records
- Conduct facility orientations for first-time visitors
- Support fitness center marketing initiatives, events, and employee engagement activities
- Generate weekly usage reports and facility metrics
- Perform administrative and operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in a face-to-face environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and use facility or membership management software
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks
- Flexibility to work early morning, evening, or varied shifts
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to maintain visual and auditory awareness to ensure facility safety
Preferred
- Experience in fitness, recreation, hospitality, or facility management environments
- CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercise principles
- Experience supporting facility operations, maintenance coordination, or wellness programs
- Familiarity with membership management systems or similar databases
