We are seeking a Receptionist on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Huntsville, AL.


The primary responsibilities of this position are greeting and check-in of customers and guests into the facility. This will include creating and issuing photo ID and access control badges to contractors and visitors, ensuring the security of the building, and being the “face of the client”. This is a customer-facing position, and providing excellent customer service is a critical part of this position. Candidates are expected to present a pleasant and professional impression to all guests. Be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.


Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime as needed



Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in customers and guests entering the facility
  • Create and issue photo ID and access control badges for contractors and visitors
  • Ensure building security through proper access control procedures
  • Operate as the primary front desk representative, providing a professional and welcoming experience
  • Answer incoming phone calls and transfer to appropriate employees
  • Assist with conference room scheduling
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support
  • Assist the on-site facilities management team with assigned tasks
  • Submit facility and building maintenance tickets through internal systems (e.g., Corrigo)
  • Maintain an updated building contact list for key personnel
  • Update and maintain the Concierge Playbook at all times
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned
  • Maintain flexibility with responsibilities and working hours to meet business needs


Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of receptionist or administrative experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced, and frequently changing environment
  • Excellent customer service skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and a positive, problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Proficiency with PC platforms and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or college coursework
  • Experience in a high-volume front desk or administrative role
