Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.


We are seeking a Receptionist on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Stamford, CT.


Responsibilities:


Front Desk Operations

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees with professionalism and warmth
  • Ensure all guests sign in and follow visitor protocols
  • Deliver an elevated hospitality experience with genuine, authentic, and professional interactions

Phone & Email Management

  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Monitor general email inboxes and respond or escalate inquiries as needed

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support for facilities, mailroom, and cultural center operations as directed by leadership
  • Demonstrate a proactive nature by anticipating guest/client needs and offering solutions without prompt

Office Coordination

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
  • Coordinate with the facilities team to ensure supplies, equipment, and refreshments are fully stocked
  • Maintain knowledge of the building and workplace to assist with related inquiries
  • Manage and support booking platform requests and ensure the accuracy of seating assignments

Security & Compliance

  • Partner with the security team to ensure appropriate issuance of visitor badges
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with company policies regarding sensitive information
  • Assist with Life Safety emergency procedures

Collaboration

  • Act as the first point of contact between departments, clients, and external visitors
  • Partner with internal teams to assist with special projects or initiatives


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 2–4 years as a receptionist, front desk associate, or office manager in a corporate/professional setting
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office technology (multi-line phones, video conferencing tools, etc.)
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
  • Ability to address issues calmly and resolve matters efficiently
  • Organization: Strong multitasking, prioritization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal Skills: Warm, approachable, and customer-focused with the ability to build relationships across a diverse range of individuals


Preferred:

  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within a dynamic workplace
  • Comfortable interacting with corporate executives
  • Experience at a Fortune 200 company, high-end hospitality, or corporate/residential environment is highly preferred
