Job description

Our client is looking for a part-time HRBP (20-25% FTE) to oversee the HR activities of their company. They have ~10-15 US-based employees, which will be the predominant focus of this position, but also have ~60 employees overseas. This individual will be responsible for planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating the activities of the Human Resource department across the organization, which is comprised of several retail, wholesale, and e-commerce entities. You will be reporting directly to the COO.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • High speed Wi-Fi connection
  • Ability to work EST, CST, or PST hours

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruitment, and retention
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
  • Administers all human resource programs including, but not limited to: compensation, benefits, payroll, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Performs other duties as required

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of human resource management experience
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
