Job description

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate both emerging and existing business opportunities. Develop and execute strategic plans to position the company’s products and services for optimal market share growth.
  • Discover new product and account opportunities. Gather and analyze competitive product data to support pricing and positioning strategies.
  • Respond promptly to requests for quotations by preparing detailed and accurate pricing proposals for potential business engagements.
  • Track and assess sales activities against established objectives. Report performance metrics to senior leadership and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with current and prospective clients, including key stakeholders in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and procurement.
  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets, account development goals, and other performance benchmarks.
  • Play a pivotal role in high-level sales negotiations with major clients, contributing to successful deal closures.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and planning models to support business growth and resource allocation.
  • Provide expert guidance to sales representatives and distributors, leveraging deep product and application knowledge.
  • Deliver training and technical support to representatives and distributors to enhance product understanding and sales effectiveness.
  • Facilitate effective communication between representatives/distributors and manufacturing facilities to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
  • Efficiently use sales management software and tools provided by the organization to track activities, manage accounts, and report outcomes.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, including group presentations, negotiation, and influence-building.
  • Proven ability to foster strong working relationships with customers, distributors, sales reps, and internal stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of consultative sales methodologies and effective closing strategies.
  • Skilled in preparing detailed reports and business documentation.
  • This is a remote position with self-managed scheduling; applicants must reside in the Western United States
  • Willingness to travel extensively; expected travel is 50%+ with overnight stays.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth in previous roles.
  • Experience selling in the Microwave/RF market is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the electronic manufacturing industry, specifically with OEM clients
