Job description

Firm is a boutique business law firm based in Century City, California. We represent leading companies in the food, beverage, supplement, cosmetic, and consumer product industries. We are seeking a Regulatory Attorney with deep experience in FDA, FTC, and state regulatory compliance, including product labeling, marketing, and manufacturing agreements. This role offers the opportunity to advise innovative brands on how to successfully bring their products to market while navigating a complex regulatory environment.


Core Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on FDA, FTC, and state law compliance across food, beverage, dietary supplements, and consumer products.
  • Conduct product label reviews, including claims analysis, nutrition facts, ingredient statements, and disclaimers.
  • Provide strategic counseling on Prop 65, MICRA, and related California regulatory requirements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate co-packing, manufacturing, and distribution agreements to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Counsel clients on marketing, social media, and advertising compliance, including claim substantiation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively update clients on new FDA/FTC guidance, rulemaking, and enforcement trends.


Qualifications/Skills

  • 3–7 years of experience in regulatory law, with a focus on FDA, FTC, and state-level compliance.
  • Proven experience in product labeling review and advising on consumer product compliance.
  • Strong background in drafting and negotiating co-packing and manufacturing agreements.
