Remote Bookkeeper/Accountant Position

The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce business specializing in educational sensory toys and custom wooden art pieces for children. Located remotely, they are looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage their financial operations and establish robust accounting processes. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with e-commerce accounting experience who values work-life balance and is passionate about supporting businesses that enhance children's development.

About Our Client

A woman-owned small business dedicated to creating educational sensory play materials and custom wooden art pieces for children. Their products encourage hands-on learning and creative development, making them a favorite among parents and educators alike. With a growing presence on Amazon and direct-to-consumer channels, they're seeking financial expertise to support their expansion.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Set up and maintain QuickBooks accounting system, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping
  2. Integrate Amazon Seller Central with QuickBooks for streamlined financial reporting
  3. Manage payroll accounting and processing
  4. Reconcile Amazon Seller Central Business Reports with banking transactions
  5. Generate monthly financial statements and management reports
  6. Monitor cash flow and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
  7. Prepare documentation for tax filing and audit purposes
  8. Establish and document accounting procedures and best practices

Qualifications/Skills

  1. 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  2. Proven experience with QuickBooks setup and management
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and its business reports
  4. Experience integrating e-commerce platforms with accounting software
  5. Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles
  6. Excellent organizational and time management skills
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting tools
  8. Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  9. QuickBooks certification preferred
