Job description

Our client is seeking a Data Center Security Engineer – Physical Security on a ~7-month contract basis to help support their business needs. This is a 100% remote position.
This person will need experience in physical security operations, access management systems, and third-party risk oversight. As a key member of the team, this candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of their rapidly scaling Data Center infrastructure and operations.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in operations, including both general data center operations and physical security operations. They should be capable of defining a clear mid-to-long-term vision in this space based on strategic business priorities, driving and supporting cross-functional projects and programs, and influencing partners to prioritize and execute against critical security initiatives.
The successful candidate should have deep knowledge and experience across many of the following core areas: guard force contracting and management, alarm acknowledgement and response, incident response and management, secure operations, process and procedure standardization and optimization, and business continuity.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure operations management
- Broad knowledge across the physical security and risk management: physical security design.
- Expert in developing and administering secure operational processes
- General understanding of incident response, business and operational continuity, and disaster recovery, along with security’s role in these processes
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical partners
- Experience identifying and communicating clear operational security requirements to inform and empower execution-focused teams and personnel
- Experience building relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders
Certifications
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, PCI, CC, CISP, etc.)
