Job Overview:

Are you a wordsmith with a passion for helping tech professionals land their dream roles? We’re a fast-growing career coaching company specializing in guiding sales and sales engineering professionals through the maze of job searching. We're looking for a detail-oriented and creative Resume Writer to help our clients shine on paper (and on LinkedIn)!

In this role, you'll write 3-4 resumes per week to start, with the potential to take on even more as you settle in. Your job will be to craft compelling resumes and LinkedIn profiles that capture the attention of hiring managers in the fast-paced world of tech sales and sales engineering.

If you’re someone who’s got a knack for making complex career stories shine and a deep understanding of the tech industry, we want to hear from you! Experience with sales or sales engineering roles is a plus, but we're also open to all levels of expertise (check out the qualifications below!).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Craft Powerful Resumes: Write and optimize resumes for tech sales and sales engineering professionals, ensuring each one stands out and tells a captivating story.
  2. LinkedIn Magic: Provide top-notch recommendations for LinkedIn profile optimization, making sure your client's profile aligns perfectly with their resume and gets noticed by recruiters.
  3. Follow Our Framework: Utilize our tried-and-true templates and processes for resume writing, ensuring quality and consistency across all documents.
  4. Innovate and Improve: As you get familiar with our templates, you'll have the chance to suggest and implement ideas for refining and improving them to stay ahead of the curve.
  5. Stay Ahead of Trends: Conduct research to keep up with the latest job market trends and industry-specific requirements so that resumes are always on-point and optimized for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  6. Perfect Your Craft: Edit and revise documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy in presenting your clients’ qualifications.
  7. Collaborate: Work closely with the rest of the team to help clients craft their perfect career pitch.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Stellar writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  2. A solid understanding of LinkedIn and how to optimize profiles for maximum visibility.
  3. A general understanding of sales roles, especially in tech.
  4. The ability to turn complex career histories into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  6. A problem-solver mindset, with a passion for improving processes and making things better.
  7. Comfortable with ChatGPT or other generative AI tools to assist in the writing process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in hiring, HR, or recruiting, and familiarity with the ins and outs of the hiring process.
  2. Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and how to navigate them effectively.
  3. Previous experience in tech sales or sales engineering roles (bonus points!).
  4. A deep understanding of the tech sales landscape, including SaaS, cloud solutions, and sales engineering.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.
