Risk Analyst (100% Remote)

We are seeking a Risk Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct end-to-end risk assessments across financial, operational, compliance, and strategic risk domains
• Identify, analyze, and document risks, including mitigation plans and tracking mechanisms
• Develop and apply qualitative and quantitative risk assessment and risk weighting methodologies
• Aggregate risk data and support risk reporting for stakeholders and leadership
• Create risk reports, dashboards, and presentation materials (charts, graphics, slide decks)
• Maintain and track KRIs/KPIs, action plans, and mitigation progress
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product teams, to align risk assessments with business objectives
• Support development and maintenance of risk frameworks, documentation, and procedures
• Provide risk assessment training and guidance to stakeholders
• Manage multiple risk assessments simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and follow-through
• Perform ad hoc reporting and support agile workflows and administrative tasks

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong experience in enterprise or independent risk management and risk assessment execution
• Deep understanding of risk assessment frameworks and methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proactive mindset with strong ownership and follow-through
• Experience developing risk reports, dashboards, and executive presentations
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional and product teams
• Familiarity with fintech, financial services, or technology risk management is a plus
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and risk frameworks (e.g., AI, model risk, NIST) is a plus
