We are seeking a Risk Analyst III on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is fully remote with a preference for CA based candidates.
As a Risk Analyst III within the People Risk Privacy and Compliance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our People Data Subject Rights (DSR) Program. This program is a vital component of our client's global People Data Privacy Program, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of data integrity and transparency for our employees worldwide.
You will be responsible for providing global coverage and operational support for employee data requests, ensuring compliance with evolving international regulations.
Responsibilities:
- DSR Program Support: Execute and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of People Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests from employees globally.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to global data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other emerging "Rest of World" (RoW) privacy regulations.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks within the data handling process and implement controls to safeguard sensitive personnel information.
- Operational Excellence: Support the People Data Privacy Program by streamlining workflows for data retrieval, redaction, and secure delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, HR, and IT teams to resolve complex data privacy inquiries and maintain comprehensive documentation for compliance audits.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in risk management, privacy compliance, or data protection.
- Technical Knowledge: Proven understanding of global regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their application within a corporate environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and regulatory language to make informed risk decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive employee information with extreme confidentiality and professionalism.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Law, Information Security, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience specifically within HR or People Data privacy.
- Certifications such as CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) or similar risk management credentials.
- Familiarity with automated DSR management tools and privacy software.
