Job description

We are seeking a Risk Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote in EST.
Responsibilities:
- Execute enterprise and independent risk assessments, including risk identification, analysis, documentation, and mitigation planning.
- Review action plans, mitigation evidence, and track risk remediation progress.
- Maintain and update risk metrics such as KRIs and KPIs.
- Develop qualitative and quantitative risk methodologies, including risk scoring and risk aggregation approaches.
- Prepare and deliver risk reporting using visual data presentations, dashboards, and slide decks.
- Conduct assessments across financial, operational, compliance, and strategic risk domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product teams, to ensure risk assessments align with business goals.
- Drive project planning, follow-ups, and timely execution of risk-related tasks with minimal instruction.
- Complete and document risk assessments with analysis, findings, and recommended mitigation actions (fintech focus preferred).
- Risk assessment reports, including charts, graphics, and presentation materials.
- Time and progress tracking for assessment execution and internal reporting.
- Training and support for stakeholders on risk assessment methodology and frameworks.
- Update and maintain risk assessment documentation, procedures, and methodology artifacts.
Qualifications
- 6-7+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
- Hands-on experience performing enterprise or independent risk assessments.
- Experience documenting risks, reviewing action plans, and tracking mitigation.
- Ability to operate independently with minimal direction and identify tasks proactively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience preparing risk reports, visualizations, and slide decks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational capability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ownership in follow-ups and timely closure of open items.
Preferred:
- Experience in fintech or technology-driven risk management environments.
- Experience working with product teams and understanding product development lifecycles, especially in payments.
- Payments or financial services industry experience.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and technical risk areas (e.g., ChatGPT/AI, Artificial Intelligence risk, Model Risk Management, NIST AI Risk Management Framework).
