Job description

Our Customer is seeking a Sales Lead on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Sales Representatives focused on selling corporate catering programs to merchants
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings and team sessions to review pipeline, performance, and priorities
  • Review calls and communications to provide coaching on messaging, objection handling, and closing techniques
  • Set clear performance goals, track progress, and address performance gaps proactively
  • Own overall team pipeline health, ensuring consistent prospecting through calls, email outreach, and localized efforts
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including calls, connections, meetings booked, qualified opportunities, and closed deals
  • Maintain accurate tracking and CRM hygiene across the team
  • Partner with leadership to define and adjust targets as the program scales
  • Carry an individual sales quota and lead by example in prospecting, pitching, and closing deals
  • Conduct discovery, qualification, and value-based selling tailored to merchant needs
  • Support team members on complex or strategic deals to drive conversions
  • Ensure proper onboarding and enablement of newly acquired merchants
  • Identify and escalate operational or technical blockers impacting merchant adoption
  • Share field insights and feedback to improve sales playbooks, scripts, and operational processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on program goals and improvements


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales leadership, team lead, or player-coach roles
  • Strong background in inside or field sales within a quota-driven environment
  • Proven ability to coach and manage teams to meet weekly and monthly targets
  • Experience conducting pipeline reviews and forecasting performance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when engaging with decision-makers
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM systems, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Ability to balance accountability with team support and development
  • High resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in merchant sales, marketplace platforms, or catering/food service industries
