We are seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Producer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Email Producer is responsible for the successful production, management, and deployment of customer-facing email and SMS campaigns. This role will work closely with internal programs, copy editors, design team members, data analysts, and other members of the marketing automation team to ensure communications are deployed accurately, on time, and follow brand and legal standards.
With hundreds of millions of messages being sent by the organization every year, the SMFC Email Specialist plays an important role in ensuring the students, parents, and professionals receive personalized, timely, accurate communications. This individual will leverage their HTML abilities to transform text-based content and provide images into responsive, personalized, and dynamic email communications. They will own the deployment process for assigned communications, collaborating with team members from different parts of the organization to keep campaigns moving through tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage email and SMS campaigns end-to-end, including coding, editing, proofing, QA, and deployment
- Collaborate with marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver campaigns on tight timelines
- Upload and manage contact lists securely
- Hand-code HTML emails from source content
- Support creation of templates, automations, and dynamic campaigns
- Ensure campaigns meet brand, legal, and internal process standards
- Document and follow established email production workflows
- Analyze campaign performance and recommend optimizations, including A/B testing and best practices
- Stay current on trends and improvements in email and SMS marketing
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of dedicated experience as an email producer (focused role, not combined with broader marketing responsibilities)
- Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio
- Knowledge of AMPScript for dynamic email development within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Strong understanding of email best practices and compliance regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM and data privacy laws)
- Experience coding HTML emails and deploying campaigns via email service providers
- Experience managing contact lists and campaign execution
- Experience with responsive email design
- Experience conducting A/B testing and analyzing campaign performance
- Ability to generate reports using marketing automation and analytics tools
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply internal processes
- Experience in digital campaign management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data extensions, automations, journeys, filters, and triggers in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Familiarity with CloudPages and JavaScript
