Sample Coordinator (San Francisco, CA)

Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.

We are seeking a Sample Coordinator on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.

This role will support the daily operations of the creative studio and visual merchandising team. This position ensures a smooth workflow by managing and checking in samples, maintaining studio organization, and assisting with administrative and day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and organize seasonal product samples for use by the creative studio and visual merchandising teams
• Track sample arrivals, maintain accurate records, and communicate delays or issues to appropriate teams
• Assemble and maintain sample racks and storage areas to ensure accessibility and organization
• Support studio set preparation and maintain studio cleanliness and operational efficiency
• Assist with seasonal projects and coordinate sample donations in collaboration with the visual merchandising team
• Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and support team objectives
• Support studio photography needs, including assisting with photographing products and maintaining organized visual assets

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in retail, studio operations, or sample management preferred
• Strong organizational and planning skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and email, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail, particularly regarding data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting creative studios, visual merchandising teams, or product sample coordination
• Familiarity with studio workflows, product photography processes, or retail merchandising environments
