Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a SAP Extended Warehouse Management Consultant on a contract basis to support our customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Sunnyvale, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead business blueprinting workshops with business and cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate As-Is and To-Be discussions and map business process flows.
  • Gather requirements from Warehouse and Shipping departments and recommend solutions aligned with industry best practices.
  • Configure, develop, and test SAP WM and SAP S/4 HANA EWM solutions.
  • Own overall SAP WM and SAP EWM solution design and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for configurations, development, and data migration activities within SAP WM and EWM modules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional modules including Materials Management (MM), Quality Management (QM), Production Planning (PP), and Sales & Distribution (SD).
  • Document implemented processes and provide training to internal teams.
  • Adapt quickly to changing timelines, priorities, and project sequences.
  • Develop and execute test plans for SAP WM and SAP EWM configurations.
  • Manage warehouse master data and organizational structure configurations in SAP WM and EWM.
  • Configure storage types, put-away strategies, stock removal strategies, and warehouse optimization rules.
  • Support inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes, including palletization, consolidation, deconsolidation, replenishment, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
  • Configure and support handling unit management, batch management, serial management, and warehouse reorganization processes.
  • Support warehouse integrations involving Kardex software, external WMS systems, TMS platforms, RF devices, scanners, and label printing solutions.
  • Monitor and manage post-processing frameworks, batch jobs, IDocs, queue management, and exception handling processes.
  • Support custom development activities, including BADIs, functional modules, ALV reports, and ABAP-related troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with security teams to support roles, authorizations, and access management.
  • Support the development and monitoring of warehouse activity reports and operational dashboards.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of SAP experience.
  • Minimum of 2 end-to-end SAP WM implementation projects with hands-on configuration experience.
  • Minimum of 2 end-to-end SAP EWM implementation projects with hands-on configuration experience.
  • Experience integrating SAP WM and SAP EWM with Kardex software.
  • Experience supporting high-volume distribution centers handling batch and serialized products.
  • Expertise in cartonization, Quality Inspection Engine, quantity classifications, and warehouse order optimization rules.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP EWM master data integrations, inbound, outbound, internal movement, cycle counting, and kitting processes.
  • Experience in integrating shop floor orders and kitting orders.
  • Strong expertise in warehouse master data and organizational structure setup in SAP WM and EWM.
  • Strong knowledge of inbound and outbound warehouse processes, including handling unit management.
  • Experience with warehouse replenishment, Kanban material replenishment, warehouse reorganization, and posting change processes.
  • Hands-on experience with wave management, wave templates, and cross-process settings in SAP EWM.
  • Experience with batch management, serial management, and handling unit management in SAP WM.
  • Understanding of ITS Mobile, SAP Fiori, RF devices, RF configuration, and queue management.
  • Experience with outputs, label printing, RFID scanners, and barcode scanners.
  • Experience developing WM reports and warehouse activity monitoring solutions.
  • Exposure to slotting and warehouse reorganization processes.
  • Strong integration knowledge across LE, WM, MM, SD, PP, QM, FI, and CO modules.
  • Experience with LSMW, batch job monitoring, batch job creation, and IDoc monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of ABAP development, debugging, BADIs, functional modules, and ALV reports.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience documenting functional design specifications for custom developments.
  • Preferred experience with TMS integration.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
