Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a SAP S/4HANA Project Manager on a contract basis to deliver a large-scale, complex S/4 HANA project with a focus on Manufacturing and Supply Chain business transformation. The ideal candidate would have min 2-3 SAP S/4 HANA full implementation experience with a proven track of managing and coordinating, proficiency in the full implementation life cycle, with excellent communication and cross-functional team skills. This role will work closely with master data, engineering, supply chain planning, manufacturing, product quality, warehouse, and finance, CoE, IT, and Analytics teams to implement S/4 HANA functionalities, processes, data, and reporting solutions, through requirements, design, testing, training, cutover, hypercare, and deployment needs. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of complex SAP S/4HANA projects across all phases, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and go-live support.
- Develop detailed project plans, manage scope and timelines, and ensure deliverables align with quality and project objectives.
- Coordinate and facilitate user requirement reviews, design workshops, UAT sessions, cutover planning, and post go-live support activities (hypercare, war rooms).
- Apply manufacturing and supply chain domain knowledge to identify issues, analyze root causes, and drive timely resolutions.
- Partner with PMO to track milestones, KPIs, risks, and provide regular progress updates to executive stakeholders and steering committees.
- Collaborate with the change management team to support communication, training, and user adoption strategies.
- Work closely with CoE, IT, Analytics, and cross-functional teams to manage project deliverables and smaller enhancement projects.
- Apply SAP S/4HANA best practices and continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver status reports, executive updates, and project documentation to leadership.
Skills and Qualifications
- BA/BS in Technical, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 8+ years as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant with proven success in technology-enabled project delivery.
- Minimum of 2–3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations. Experience with Agile, MES, or Planning applications is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven stakeholder management and problem-solving expertise.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Smartsheet, Zoom, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- PMP, PgMP, or PfMP preferred.
- Experience in medical devices, healthcare, high-tech, or manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
