Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a SAP S/4 HANA Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
The SAP S/4HANA Project Manager will lead large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations with a focus on Manufacturing and Supply Chain business transformation. This role requires hands-on delivery experience, strong cross-functional collaboration, and deep knowledge of the full S/4 implementation lifecycle. The position partners closely with master data, engineering, planning, manufacturing, product quality, warehouse, finance, CoE, IT, and analytics teams to deploy process, data, and reporting solutions from requirements through post-go-live support.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex SAP S/4HANA projects from planning through go-live and hypercare, ensuring on-time and in-scope execution.
- Develop project plans, manage scope and timelines, and ensure all deliverables meet quality expectations.
- Coordinate and facilitate requirement reviews, design workshops, UAT sessions, business cutover planning, go-live activities, and war rooms.
- Apply manufacturing and supply chain expertise to identify issues, analyze root causes, resolve open items, and drive timely closure.
- Partner with PMO to track project milestones, risks, KPIs, and progress, providing accurate and timely stakeholder updates.
- Collaborate with change management teams on communication plans, training plans, content creation, and end-user training delivery.
- Work closely with CoE, IT, analytics, and cross-functional partners throughout the project lifecycle, including managing enhancement initiatives.
- Support PMO with preparation for core team and steering committee meetings, including status reports and leadership updates.
- Apply SAP S/4HANA implementation best practices and project management methodologies, continually identifying process improvement opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a technical, manufacturing, or supply chain-related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience as a business project manager, business analyst, or functional consultant delivering technology-enabled projects.
- Minimum 2–3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Experience with Agile, MES, or planning applications is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management, and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Zoom, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, PfMP) preferred.
- Experience within the medical, high-tech, healthcare, or manufacturing industries.
