Job description
Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.
We are seeking a Search Analyst on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote, with a slight preference to EST/CST, but not critical to the role.
The Search Analyst will support a newly structured total search team, focusing on both SEO and SEM to drive growth through data-driven decision-making. This role will assist in reporting, optimization, and execution for one of the largest, high-investment campaigns, while also collaborating with senior search managers and cross-functional teams on additional projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, strategy, forecasting, building, execution, optimization, and reporting of paid search campaigns
- Manage campaign pacing, develop weekly performance insights, and identify optimization opportunities
- Conduct keyword research and analysis, develop ad copy, and manage bid strategy and budget allocation
- Identify and execute test-and-learn opportunities to optimize campaigns for better performance
- Collaborate with analytics teams on measurement, tagging, and reporting, as well as with display/social teams for cross-channel alignment
- Partner with senior search managers and analytics partners to create monthly and quarterly organic search traffic reports
- Perform day-to-day on-page SEO optimizations, including writing meta titles and descriptions for new landing pages
- Support strategic SEO initiatives by identifying keyword opportunities, monitoring SERP changes, and managing keyword portfolios using SEO tools
- Provide SEO insights from performance data to inform new content initiatives
- Collaborate with technical SEO specialists on web implementation projects
- Stay current on SEM/SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, ad formats, and competitor practices
- Support SEO/SEM integration by identifying overlap opportunities, sharing keyword insights, and coordinating messaging
- Provide ad hoc competitor and keyword insights related to search and on-page content
- Leverage internal automation and AI tools to identify trends, deepen insights, and support program growth and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of marketing experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns, including planning, execution, optimization, and reporting
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing SEO and content optimization, with knowledge of HTML and SEO-impacting elements
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMRush, SEOClarity, BrightEdge, Conductor, or similar platforms
- Proficiency with paid platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Search Ads 360 (preferred)
- Experience with web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Google Search Console (preferred)
- Ability to translate SEO/SEM data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- General understanding of AI’s impact on search
Preferred:
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work as a team player, adapt quickly, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Resourceful, creative problem-solver with the ability to pivot priorities as needed
- Self-motivated and consistent in delivering high-quality work
- Agency experience in the financial category is a plus
